Scuba Stretch Jersey

Scuba jersey is the fabric that makes beginners look experienced: a smooth, double-knit stretch with real body, so it holds structured shapes — skater skirts, bodycon dresses, sharp peplums — while still moving with you. The surface is sleek and modern, colours come out rich, and it resists creasing so well that garments practically steam themselves.

It's also famously well-behaved under the machine: edges don't fray, hems can be left raw for a clean contemporary finish, and the stable knit feeds evenly without puckering. A stretch needle and a longer straight stitch or narrow zigzag are all it asks for.
