Soft Touch is our best-selling four-way stretch fabric, and the name is the honest description: a smooth, peach-soft handle that feels gentle against the skin and drapes beautifully close to the body. The generous stretch recovers well, so garments keep their shape through an evening of wear — which is exactly why dressmakers reach for it again and again for partywear, bridesmaid dresses, fitted tops and comfortable everyday dresses.

It sews more forgivingly than most stretch fabrics too: stable under the presser foot, no laddering, and kind to beginners making their first knit garment. Pair it with a stretch or ballpoint needle and a narrow zigzag and it behaves impeccably.
